1. Choose a rhythm, not a resort brand

Kołobrzeg is a compact beach-and-town pattern. Świnoujście is islands and two rail logics. Krynica-Zdrój is centre, valleys and separate Tylicz. Choose the travel problem you actually want to solve.

2. Pin four points

Map the arrival station, accommodation, main daily destination and evening return. If a ferry, final bus or repeated climb hides between them, count it before booking.

3. Build the first day

Leave the luggage, take the simplest orientation walk and test the real route for the following morning. Do not put a last-entry attraction or complicated chain of connections on arrival day.

4. Keep a fallback

At the Baltic, keep a wind-and-rain version; in the mountains, a version without a lift or trail. A museum, town centre, park or short walk should work without risking the return.

5. Check before departure

Open the operator, attraction and tourist-information pages for your dates. Prices, hours, access, queues, works and weather can change the plan; this guide structures the decision but does not replace the operator.

Kołobrzeg gives the simplest first day, Świnoujście the most demanding, and Krynica-Zdrój the one most dependent on pace.

Rain and wind days

The town centres of Kołobrzeg and Świnoujście and the spa centre of Krynica are the most resilient. Edge and valley bases fare worst.

With children

Kołobrzeg simplifies the logistics most. In Świnoujście choose a base on Uznam to avoid crossings; in Krynica choose the centre to avoid climbs.

A slower pace

All three work, provided you choose a central base and one destination per day.

Without a car

Kołobrzeg is planned from the station, Świnoujście from the station and the crossing, Krynica from the spa centre.

Which destination is easiest for a first visit?

Kołobrzeg, because the whole choice reduces to one decision inside a single town, with no crossings and no height differences.

Can these towns be compared numerically?

Only partly. Kołobrzeg and Świnoujście share a statistical basis for July and August 2025, while no equivalent municipal measure exists for Krynica-Zdrój, so we do not place it in a numeric comparison.

Is Tylicz part of Krynica?

It is a separate locality within the Krynica-Zdrój municipality, not a district. That distinction changes the whole travel plan.
