On the coast the problem is wind
In Kołobrzeg and Świnoujście it is wind, not rain, that most often ends a beach plan — including on days with no rain at all. The exposed promenade stops being a walking route, so when choosing a base, judge whether your daily route runs along the open shore or through sheltered streets.

In Świnoujście the crossing is added to it
Here a second weak point joins the wind: the crossing between islands, at its least pleasant precisely in bad weather and with luggage. A base on the side of the Świna where your day happens is the most effective protection — in practice usually Centrum on Uznam.

In Krynica the slope plan fails first
In a mountain spa town, what fails first is what depends most on terrain and season: the slope, the cable car and higher routes. So do not build the whole stay on them, and confirm installation operation and seasonal access with the operator for your date.

Season changes availability, not geography
The GUS data for the coast describe July and August 2025 only, in coastal gminas, in establishments with at least 10 bed places — a picture of peak season, not of the whole year. No equivalent municipal measure exists for Krynica-Zdrój, so we do not set it against the coast numerically. Out of season, what changes in all three towns is mainly service availability and timetables.

The shared solution
At all three destinations the answer is the same: a central base with a dense network of options within a short walk, and a day built from one destination plus one alternative. That works better than a flexible plan demanding decisions on the spot in wind or rain.
