Three useful bases

Choose Old Town for a short heritage visit and evenings on foot. Śródmieście around Krakowskie Przedmieście connects the centre and its services. The Dworzec Lublin area helps with an early departure or repeated transfers, but each Old Town visit needs a separate route.

Know which station is on your ticket

Dworzec Lublin on Dworcowa is beside Lublin Główny railway station and serves long-distance and some regional buses. The older PKS bus terminal on Aleja Tysiąclecia still serves selected services and is near the Castle. Check the exact arrival and departure point on both tickets.

Old Town

This base shortens daily trips to the market, Kraków Gate and Castle area. Before booking, check the luggage route, stairs, car access, check-in and possible evening noise. A historic address does not guarantee easy access to the building.

Krakowskie Przedmieście and Lithuanian Square offer an easy link between the city centre, food, services and Old Town. Compare the exact street: the pedestrian section, a main road and a quieter side street make different overnight stays.

Compare a base by the correct station when an early departure or repeated transfers matter more than an evening walk in Old Town. Check the property's exact address and luggage route to the station entrance; plan the journey into the centre and the late return separately. A listing described as 'near the station' is not automatically near the older PKS terminal by the Castle.

Two days that fit together

After arrival, drop bags and walk along Krakowskie Przedmieście into Old Town. Give day two one museum or heritage anchor and a calmer block in the centre. In rain, choose an indoor stop instead of adding a distant transfer.

Before booking and leaving

Compare total price, cancellation, lift, luggage storage, parking and check-in. Map the route from the correct station to the exact address and check the late return. On departure day, reconfirm the stop, platform and timetable with the operator.

What the visitor figures mean

The city estimates that 911,000 domestic visitors and nearly 48,000 foreign visitors stayed overnight in Lublin in 2025. This is municipal visitor monitoring, not a count of Booking transactions, available rooms or affiliate income.

Choose this if

You will spend most of the visit in Old Town and want to return to a nearby room on foot in the evening.
You prefer Śródmieście around Krakowskie Przedmieście as a base between the centre, services and Old Town.
You have an early departure or frequent transfers, and your ticket names Dworzec Lublin on Dworcowa.

Choose something else if

Your ticket names the older PKS terminal on Tysiąclecia, but a listing only says 'near Dworzec Lublin'; compare it with the actual terminal.
You need an easy luggage route or step-free access, but the Old Town property's entrance is unverified; check another stay.

Planning by trip type

Arrival day: Travel from the station named on your ticket to the property, drop bags and walk via Krakowskie Przedmieście into Old Town.
If it rains: Choose one indoor museum or heritage stop near the centre and check its opening hours for your day.
With children: Keep the route shorter with a break, and check stairs, ramps and the luggage route into the building.
A slower pace: Pair one Old Town stop with a longer break in Śródmieście instead of adding another distant transfer.
Without a car: Confirm whether the ticket names Dworzec Lublin or the older PKS terminal before comparing the route to the address and back.
