01
Start with the purpose of the trip
If MTP is your daily destination, find the actual event entrance and opening times first. For sightseeing, use Old Market as the anchor. If you need both, compare the journey in both directions and reduce the leg that would be hardest to repeat.
02
MTP and Poznań Główny
The fairground is by the main-station corridor, but the hall and entrance depend on the event. Staying here makes luggage arrival and an early fair start easier. A listing that says 'near MTP' still needs a check against the exact hall, gate and walking route.

Old Market and the centre
This is a useful base for a first weekend, historic streets and an evening on foot. The fair becomes a separate journey. In an old building, verify stairs, lift, late check-in and possible street noise; distance to the square does not answer those questions.

Jeżyce
Jeżyce has its own food and neighbourhood rhythm and can connect a city stay with MTP. The district is broad: compare the specific street with the fair entrance, station and Old Market. A Jeżyce label alone cannot tell you how long those journeys take.

A workable two-day visit
On arrival, drop luggage and choose one walk: Old Market or Jeżyce. Give day two one main purpose, either the event or the historic centre, plus one indoor alternative. On departure day, work backwards from the real journey to your platform.
06
Before paying
Compare the final price including taxes, cancellation rules, check-in, luggage storage and room type. For a fair, verify the event dates and entrance; for a car, the actual parking arrangement and cost. Open directions from the exact property address.
07
What the demand figure means
The city reports 1.6 million nights in 2025 in Poznań tourist establishments with at least ten bed places. This shows a substantial stay market; it is neither a count of platform bookings nor a revenue forecast for this guide.
